Proper Handling of Leftovers

As a general rule, leftover foods should not be kept for more than four (4) days, otherwise, it may lead to poisoning due to harmful organisms such as bacteria in contaminated food.

If you think you cannot eat it within this period, then, it is wise to freeze it immediately.

In this case, it must be stored in a shallow container, 3 inches tall or less, and properly covered to ensure that the food is evenly cooled. All cooked foods must be reheated to 165 degree Fahrenheit, refrigerated or frozen. Those with sauce or liquid in nature must be brought to boil.
