Versions of Oranges

Philippines grows varieties of fruits that we can rarely find outside the country. To our surprise, we still crave for the “imported” and that pertains to oranges, apples and grapes. We all refer to the same fruit by its appearance, right? But this is different in other country though.

Try Canada, when you enter a grocery store, you will be surprised how many kinds of oranges they sell and each has particular name. There is tangerine, Clementine, blood oranges and grapefruit. Apples are named by its source, sometimes by its color. Nectarine appears like a small apple but it is not.
